Honored to be featured on the CoSN Podcast as part of the 2026 Driving K-12 Innovation Summit!
In Episode 2 of the three-part Driving K-12 Innovation series, I had the privilege of joining an incredible panel of global education leaders to discuss the Accelerators shaping the future of K–12 education.
My focus? Building leadership capacity: Sustainable innovation doesn't happen by accident. It happens through intentional systems, long-term planning, and investing in the next generation of leaders.
Here's what I truly believe: technology doesn't drive innovation in schools, people do. The work we're doing in Technology at Knox County Schools is rooted in developing strong leadership pipelines, not just one-off professional development moments, but real, sustained investment in our people.
It was a joy to think alongside: Claus Gregersen (Denmark) who spoke on rethinking assessment and how students demonstrate learning in the age of AI and Laura Motta (Uruguay) who discussed learner agency and the powerful connection between student and educator empowerment
The global perspective in this conversation was a reminder that while our systems may look different, our challenges, and our hopes, are deeply shared.
