When I was starting out as a writer, my first long-term gig was with a conversion optimisation company called Growcode. It focused exclusively on ecommerce sites.
I absolutely loved working with them – both the writing itself and immersing myself in the nuts and bolts of store optimisation. It also instilled a lingering love of all things CRO, both tactical and strategic.
As such, it was an absolute joy to return to the topic of ecom optimisation in my latest article about product pages for Crazy Egg.
I looked at how product pages have evolved, what top ecom sites are doing (designing my own small-scale data study), and spoke to three of the world's best ecommerce experts. Talk about feeling the limitations of your own knowledge. These guys took it to another level.
If you're at all interested in product description pages (PDPs) – what they look like now, where they're headed (including why I think they'll still have a place in an agentic world), and how to optimise your own store pages – check it out.
A HUGE (and I do mean that) thanks to Phillip Jackson, Ezra Firestone, and Andrew Youderian for the thought and time you gave to me.
Hope you enjoy it 👇
