Launch of the first UNITE ā BRAVE NATO competition: Matchmaking between Ukrainian and NATO companies
We are strengthening partnerships to advance next-generation defense technologies. In cooperation with NATO, we have launched the first competition under the UNITE ā Brave NATO program.
This is a new cooperation model in which companies from Ukraine and NATO member states integrate technologies to develop joint solutions for the Ukrainian battlefield.
The first phase focuses on establishing B2B partnerships between Ukrainian companies and their counterparts across NATO countries.
On the Ukrainian side, the program is coordinated by the BRAVE1 defense innovation cluster. To enable effective collaboration, dedicated functionality has been deployed on the Brave1 portal, with access granted following registration and verification.
Thematic focus of the first call: counter-UAV and air defense capabilities:
š¹ Active protection systems against FPV drones;
š¹ Countermeasures against Shahed-class UAVs;
š¹ Enhancement of signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electromagnetic capabilities;
š¹ Development of autonomous guidance systems;
š¹ High-altitude flight platforms.
The total budget for the first competition is ā¬10 million. Individual joint projects may receive up to ā¬1 million, with a maximum grant contribution capped at ā¬500,000 per project. Winners will be announced in summer 2026.
