Even loyal people have breaking points. They don't quit in a day. They leave after being pushed too far, too often. Loyalty isn't endless. It's earned daily. Watch for warning signs like these: — The once-vocal team member who stops speaking up — The advocate who no longer defends the company — The eager volunteer who stops raising their hand — The team player who suddenly works alone By the time they hand in their notice, they checked out long ago. The real problem? Too many bosses take loyalty for granted. 🚫 They push too hard 🚫 They ignore good work 🚫 They promote toxic "performers" What they don't realize: ✅ Each ignored concern weakens relationships ✅ Each broken promise chips away at loyalty ✅ Each missed "thank you" damages trust The most dangerous words in leadership: "They'll never leave. They're too loyal." Remember this truth: Everyone has a tipping point where self-respect outweighs loyalty. And once they stop caring, no money or title will win them back. Treat loyal people like the gems they are. Before they decide you don't deserve them. H/o & image credit: Justin Wright

Where you spend your time is important. In time people can mistake your value for being "worth less" than what you deserve. I hope this serves as a friendly reminder: ⚠️ No matter how good you are. If you are in the wrong place you are worthless. This is why I make a habit of helping people so they don't get stuck somewhere where their talents are not able to shine. Unfortunately during your career, many people may try to be the judge of where you belong. But you must not give up. 🚩If you feel limited or stuck there is a good chance your growth is being held back from what is best for you. This can be a big red flag. I can relate. Many executives in our network felt stuck at some point in their career. Collectively we found our strengths by networking and collaborating on LinkedIn. Here are three effective ways to get unstuck: 1. Identify your goals and passion. 2. Network and seek advice from successful people. 3. Explore new opportunities and take action. This past week, one executive in our network has started a new position that pays double what he was previously earning. I had the pleasure of helping a client monetize a game they created in 3 hours with AI, through sponsors who advertise on LinkedIn, billboards, and planes. The game generated 67,000 MRR already.📈 This is the power of networking and simply introducing the right people. If you feel stuck in a job, you can still connect with right people on LinkedIn and explore what is best for you. Seek and find places that allow you to show the best that you have to offer. Rachel Mitchell © ---- 🔺I shared this in my private executive newsletter. On my personal profile I choose to share the mindset that has helped us. I like to share this image again because so many in our network have re-shared this and we discovered that there are a lot of people who feel stuck. More people deserve to be on an open road where they can experience their potential. 🏎️ ----- #rachelmitchell #ladylongevity #businessdevelopment #personaldevelopment #progress #elevate your growth ♻️ Repost this to help your network. You can network with great people here. I know a gentleman who has 400 connections on LinkedIn but owns half the commercial buildings in his city. I also have a connection who has millions of connections who asked me for an introduction. This made me think: You can improve your life by BEING OPEN TO CONNECT with quality strangers. 📈 Your personal and professional life improves. Never ignore someone because you already have connections. One person can make a difference & looks can be deceiving. On LinkedIn we are limited to 30,000 connections. You can stay connected with people who are well connected, by following them. (This will give you an advantage.) 🔺When you click FOLLOW you are linked within my network. Daily I give back to a selected follower. I give opportunities, connections, and specifics that you need for your career or business. 🔺New people being new ideas, perspectives, talents, skills, and opportunities. 🔺By consistently ENGAGING (liking, commenting, and sharing) other people’s posts I met some of the most impressive business leaders and influencial people on social media. You can too!😊 Never underestimate the power of having a good conversation and it leading to great things. I personally favor having “win-win” conversations where both people share what can improve each others lives. The more conversations you have like this, the more success you will find. One of the biggest mistakes people make is waiting for the perfect time. Harsh truth: there is no perfect time. Your time can be used right now to build a life that you love. Act as if the introduction, the conversation, or the next step already matters. Be intentional with the connections that you allow around you. This will bring positive change with every move you make. Sincerely, Rachel Mitchell

Never hesitate to remove what is harming your growth. Grow beautifully in the direction that is best. You will wake up with a beautiful garden of your dreams. This garden represents your life’s work. Your relationships are like plants. They can provide you will all that you need. Keep developing strong relationships based on trust and integrity. Trust is built and integrity is seen through consistent actions. Simply ask yourself: “Is this healthy and does it promote growth? or Is this unhealthy, and cause harm or stagnation?” When you observe results it becomes obvious what needs to be removed in order to make space for what is best for you. - Rachel Mitchell

I used to pour everything into others.. I wondered why I felt drained by the end of the week. ⚠️ It’s easy to confuse burnout with “being a good leader” or “showing up for your team.” But here’s the truth: you can’t lead at your best if you’re running on fumes. High-performing professionals don’t just work hard.. they recharge with intention. Just like our cell phones, we need recharging. Know when to pause, refuel, and protect your energy like it’s a valuable asset. Your energy is what can serve everyone who is around you. Take the walk. Block the hour. Turn off the noise. Because your success doesn’t just depend on how much you give.. it also depends on how full you are. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Fill yours first, so you can serve everyone around you. When something is truly right for you, it doesn't constantly drain you. It gives you energy. You may still work hard. You may still face challenges. But there's a quiet feeling that says: keep going. The work feels meaningful. The conversations feel natural. The momentum feels real. I've learned to pay attention energy. I realize that that “tired” feeling does not last long after spending all night working on a project, or running around a multi-day event for work.. when I am doing meaningful work. Sometimes your body recognizes what's right before your mind fully understands it. If something consistently gives you energy, there's a good chance you're moving in the right direction. — Rachel Mitchell @Lady_Longevity

There are ways to make sure you are doing good. A few years ago, I was running on empty. Back-to-back meetings, endless emails, and constant business travel. I was achieving a lot but was I actually doing good? That question hit me hard. It’s easy to measure success based on revenue. But the real impact? That’s measured in people. So, I made a shift. Instead of just focusing on what I got done, I started focusing on who I helped. In return a grew a large network of smart and thoughtful professionals on LinkedIn. And it turns out, doing good daily doesn’t have to be complicated. Here are three simple ways to make sure you’re making a real impact every single day: 1️⃣ Give an extra minute We rush. A lot. But taking an extra minute to acknowledge someone can change someone’s day. 2️⃣ Share your knowledge freely You didn’t get where you are alone. Someone helped you. So pass it on! Whether it’s a quick LinkedIn post, a recommendation, or simply answering a question without expecting anything in return. I found that helping others grow is one of the best ways to do good. 3️⃣ Make decisions with people in mind In business and life, we’re constantly making decisions. The easiest filter? Ask yourself: Is this good for just me, or good for others too? The best opportunities are the ones that benefit everyone involved. At the end of the day, doing good isn’t just about grand gestures, it’s also about small, intentional choices. And the best part? The more you focus on doing good, the more good comes back to you. The fastest way to lose great people? Treat effort and indifference the same. I learned this the hard way. I used to think hard work would always speak for itself. It doesn't. People are watching what gets rewarded... and what gets ignored. If excellence feels optional, it becomes rare. If effort goes unseen, it disappears. The best teams don't just talk about standards they protect them. Reward what you want repeated. Address what you don't. Because motivation isn't built on words... it's built on what you tolerate. WHEN THERE IS NO CONSEQUENCE FOR POOR WORK ETHIC, AND NO REWARD FOR GOOD WORK ETHIC, THERE IS NO MOTIVATION. I am sharing this quote again because more people in our network ought to be reminded of what removes the best motivation and people from their team. Keep people motivated and inspired by appropriating and valuing them today. Sincerely, Rachel Mitchell ---- 🔺I shared this in my private executive newsletter. You will know when you are in the right company. Your body will know that it is in a healthy environment. After years being stuck in places I didn’t belong, I know that life dramatically gets better when you seek and find work that surrounds you with good people. You won’t feel stuck. You will feel blessed to have a dream team around you. This is possible for you. There is a place for everyone. But instead of just applying engage with the good people you meet on LinkedIn. Explore building quality relationships in all areas of your life. Grow. Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong. Growth can be beautiful when you keep this in mind and remain open to be around what is best for you. Sincerely, Rachel Mitchell ---- 🔺I shared this in my private executive newsletter. Your boss, a hiring manager, your supervisor, your partner, CEOs. Doctors. Teachers. Managers. Parents. Influencers. Your peers. No matter your role or rank, at some point someone will talk down to you under the disguise of “feedback.” The other day, I received an email from a stranger who follows my content. He said: “Rachel, I’m a lead engineer. I manage a large team and take pride in mentoring younger staff. But last week, a new executive came into a meeting, interrupted me repeatedly, dismissed my ideas, and said, ‘I hope you’re not this sensitive in the field.’ I left the room questioning everything… until I realized something importanthe wasn’t offering criticism. He was masking disrespect in the name of ‘culture fit’.” He ended his message with a question: “How do you deal with that without letting it dim your light?” Here’s what I told him: Stay open to growth. Learn from others. But never let someone confuse you into believing that disrespect is a requirement for improvement. Keep building your network of like minded people on LinkedIn. This builds a backup plan and access to people who will be constructive for your career. ACCEPT CRITICISM, BUT NEVER ACCEPT DISRESPECT. Most people get stuck staring at problems. You can train themselves to look for possibilities. Here are simple ways I refocus when everything feels blocked: ☑️ Ask "What's still working?" - momentum hides in small wins ☑️ Shift from "Why is this happening?" to "How can this help me?" ☑️ Replace one complaint with one action because progress beats perfection ☑️ Look at the bigger picture because today's problem is rarely the full story ☑️ Talk it through with someone who sees opportunities faster than you do Problems shrink when your perspective expands. “Possibility thinking” isn't optimism. It's a skill that can be trained that will improve your life. Rachel Mitchell © ---- 🔺I shared this in my private executive newsletter. A simple reminder that can help you grow: When you work with people who can do things that you have done been able to do yet.. your life can improve a lot. Seek to work with smart people who can clearly do what you have not done. They are not a threat. They can be a part of your team/ success. Never take them for granted. I have seen this lesson play out with the hundreds of leaders that I have had the pleasure of working with this year. We become better when we hire and build valuable businesses with the most brilliant engineers and entrepreneurs. The biggest mistake I made years ago is the same mistake I see people making every day on LinkedIn. Thinking you are less than qualified to live your best life. Or thinking you are not worthy of the the freedom to enjoy what you get to do each day, is not acceptable. Especially if you are a hard worker . When you step out of your comfort zone, big growth begins. Here are 3 practical steps: ▶️ Expand your network: Engage with professionals beyond your immediate circle. Attend industry events, participate in webinars, or join online communities to gain fresh perspectives and opportunities. ▶️ Embrace learning from people (especially from people who have done things you have not yet achieved): Invest in personal development by acquiring new skills or enhancing existing ones. This commitment to growth keeps you adaptable and competitive. ▶️ Seek feedback, advice, or mentorship: Connect with mentors who can provide guidance and constructive feedback. Their insights can help you navigate challenges and identify areas for improvement. This quote has been reposted by several of our friends and it sums this up very well: STOP TELLING YOURSELF YOU'RE NOT QUALIFIED, GOOD ENOUGH, OR WORTHY. GROWTH HAPPENS WHEN YOU START DOING THE THINGS YOU'RE NOT QUALIFIED TO DO. - Steven Bartlett I must agree I was caught in that trap years ago. Your environment quietly decides whether you shrink or grow. You can be talented and work hard, but without alignment, progress stalls. Your environment either suppresses your potential or expands it.💡 If you feel stuck, underpaid, or overlooked... I see you. I've been there. Years ago, I was being passed over for promotions despite being the top performer. Favortism in the office was taking over and kept me stuck in rooms with people who didn’t care to be fair or appreciative. Butr then I discovered there is a world of opportunities and people on LinkedIn waiting to meet, align, and grow. 🚀 Here are 3 simple things you can do today to shift your income and energy: 1. Change your room (fast) Spend 30 minutes reaching out to 3 people doing better than you. New conversations = new opportunities. 2. Say what you actually want Most people stay stuck because they never clearly ask. Follow and connect with good people and send one message today: "Hi ____ I noticed your work. I respect your opinion on _______. I'm looking to grow into higher-value opportunities-any advice or connections you'd recommend?" 3. Create one visible win Engage on LinkedIn. This can be done simply in the comments of other people’s posts. That is how I found my first opportunity that broke me free from a toxic workplace. Share your work. Offer value publicly. Opportunities don't just come from working hard, they also come from being seen. And you don’t have to be loud to be seen. You can be quiet and smart. 💡Genuine people tend to get noticed and accepted the most. YOU'RE GETTING CLOSE. That's why it feels harder right now. The resistance isn't a sign to quit it's proof you're on the edge of the breakthrough. It may feel impossible today, but time has a way of turning things towards the right direction. Keep going. All of the people we see achieving their goals had their challenging moments and tough times. I can relate. At the peak of my career producing TV shows.. it all shut down in 2020. Filming cancelled. Multi-network deal voided. Income gone. Things looked impossible to recover. 📉 But by simply showing up for others on LinkedIn, a new world that took business to another level opened. Instead of producing my own shows.. streaming, innovative upgrades, smart investments, and the ability to help other people’s projects made more sense. 📈 The potential for much more came from not giving up at a very tough time. You're not waiting for an opportunity... you're being prepared for one you can't see yet. Most people think all success comes from being known. It doesn't. Some of the biggest opportunities happen before anyone knows your name. Behind the scenes, decisions are being made. Problems are growing. Gaps are widening. And the right people aren't the loudest... they're the most aligned. You don't need to chase every room. You need to become the kind of person that makes the right rooms inevitable. Because while you're doubting your timing, someone, somewhere, is searching for a solution that looks exactly like you.💡 Quietly. No announcement. No warning. Just alignment. Focus less on being seen. Focus more on being ready. How? Follow and connect with people who attract opportunities. Successful people quickly reveal to you how contagious success is, if you take time to get to know them. As a producer, I earn a living by making other people seen. But by building a network of valued professionals, I have seen more success in business with less effort. I learned to be ready to combine strengths and scale business with an open mind and willingness to expand. Expand by being open to innovative tech, AI, and networking human-to-human. This combination is undeniable in today’s world. Your moment won't ask for permission. There is a seat waiting for you at tables you have not even seen yet. You will recognize what aligns with you and you will be pulled towards its pursuit and purpose. Sincerely, Rachel Mitchell ---- 🔺I shared this in my private executive newsletter. Most people will never see the prayers you whispered when no one was around. The quiet nights. The moments you almost gave up. The times you kept going anyway. But one day... they'll see the result. And they'll call it "luck." What they won't see is the faith you held onto when nothing made sense. God has a way of turning silent prayers into loud celebrations. But here's the part we forget: You have to ask. You have to believe. And you have to be ready when it finally arrives. Because sometimes the opportunity you prayed for shows up disguised as responsibility. The transition from underpaid and passed for promotion .. to freedom, had a lot of responsibility on my shoulders. But eventually my silent prayers were answered when I was blessed to meet some good people and together we have built a strong network across LinkedIn and other social platforms for business. I was ready for change and you can be ready too. I was open to meet the right people at the right time. You can be ready to expand and celebrate as well. Stay ready. Your life can change faster than you think. Sincerely, Rachel Mitchell

Overthinking feels responsible. But most of the time, it quietly blocks the opportunities you're hoping to find. Here are a few ways I've learned to stop overthinking: 1. Trade perfection for momentum. Progress in business usually comes from small actions taken quickly .. not perfect plans delayed endlessly. 2. Focus on the next step, not the entire path. Careers and companies are built one decision at a time. You don't need to see the whole staircase to take the next step. 3. Remember that most opportunities reward courage, not certainty. The people who grow the fastest are usually the ones willing to try before everything feels perfectly clear. 4. Reframe mistakes as information. Every attempt teaches you something. That feedback is often more valuable than waiting for the "perfect" move. The biggest opportunities in business rarely came to me when I was overthinking. 💡 They came when I made a move. Overthinking shrinks possibility. Action expands it. 5. Check that you are doing the things that move you closer to your bigger goal daily: ☑️ Step up in your current position ☑️ Make growth a part of your daily work (seek it if it is not around you) ☑️ Find or create the ideal position for you to feel fulfilled doing work that you believe in Sometimes the biggest career breakthroughs begin with a simple decision: Move before your doubts talk you out of it. You're not starting over. You're starting smarter. I remember thinking I had to rebuild everything from scratch. New direction. New goals. No clear roadmap. It felt like I was behind. But I wasn't. I just had something I didn't have before: Experience. I knew what to avoid. 🚩 Who to trust. What actually moves things forward.📈 That changed everything. We underestimate how much we've already learned just because we can't see immediate results. But growth isn't lost. It compounds.🚀 Especially when you surround yourself with good people. Follow and connect with good people on LinkedIn. This is the social media platform that will expose you to successful people who work with more successful people. And success is contagious. So if you're in a season that feels like "starting over" Give yourself a little more credit. You're not starting from zero. You're starting from experience. You know better now. One day, you’ll remember the season you prayed to just “get by.” And you’ll smile because now you’re the one helping others do the same. A friend once told me: “God will always bless you because you will bless others.” That stuck with me. Because real wealth isn’t just about what you keep. It’s about what you give without fear. There’s something deeply fulfilling about picking up a tab quietly… …or sending a payment without being asked… …or investing in someone else’s breakthrough the way you wish someone had done for you. And it’s not just money. It’s time. Encouragement. Open doors. Introductions. The kind of generosity that changes lives, silently and powerfully. Let’s make this the goal: Success that spills over. So full we can’t help but pour. If you’re not there yet, keep going. You will get there. The world needs more quiet givers. Connect with people with good character. You will see progress in your life! Here are three things that you can observe that reveal a person’s character: 1. Do they show compassion? 2. Do they take responsibility? 3. Are they honest in their dealings? Keep connecting and growing with real people who have a clear record of genuinely helping other people. Here are five impactful actions at work that add up to BIG positive change in your life: ☑️ 1. Appreciate and recognize what is unique about each person. Regularly acknowledging employees’ hard work and contributions can build a strong team. Small acts that give people recognition or reward show employees that their efforts matter. If someone has something more to offer than the average worker, it is always best to reward them with something “more than average.” ☑️ 2. Provide opportunities to earn more income. Offer chances for professional development, and empower employees to expand their skills. Treat employees the way you will like to be treated if you were in their position. If you have something to give, do not give them the minimum. ⚠️ One of the biggest mistakes employers make is treating high-performing employees the same as average ones, despite the greater value they bring. ⚠️ If you don’t treat people as “special” they tend to eventually leave and take their special talents and abilities to places that value them. It’s essential to recognize and reward extraordinary individuals differently than average performers, especially when the latter don’t bring the same value and contributions as high achievers. ☑️ 3. Be open and honest. Open communication about company goals and changes builds trust and security. When employees feel included in the big picture, they’re more likely to feel motivated and aligned with the organization’s direction. ☑️ 4. Encourage work-life balance. It is important to smile, laugh, and enjoy life as we work. It is best to respect boundaries, promote flexible hours, and support taking breaks for mental health and wellness. When leaders prioritize work-life balance, it shows that they care about their team’s overall quality of life. This improves peace and productivity. ☑️ 5. Be genuinely supportive. Being approachable and open to listen creates a safe and supportive environment. Employees who feel heard and supported are more likely to be engaged, loyal, and able to bring their best selves to work. These seemingly small actions help create a positive work culture where employees feel valued. When you have good people willing to work with you; it’s best to do your best to show how willing you are to work with them. This leads to increased loyalty and productivity for the entire team. The moment you stop trying to prove you are worthy ... is the moment everything changes. It took me a while to learn rhis: People don't follow intelligence. They follow how you make them feel. Create space. Elevate others. Watch how fast respect grows. The real power move? Building people, not just proving points. You don’t need a title to do this. You will find more opportunities by practicing this daily. You earn the respect of people when they witness you respecting them. You don't earn respect by being the smartest in the room. You earn it by helping others rise and allowing them to have a voice. This has helped many of us shift from being average to achieving extraordinary goals with our teams. - Rachel Mitchell ---- 🔺I shared this in my private executive newsletter.
