Truly enjoyed being a part of Wes Kao's Executive Communication live July cohort.
Lately in my Enterprise role I have been speaking with an increasing number of executives of large enterprise companies.
(Who knew COOs of +12k organizations answers cold calls?? Well, they do. ☎️)
If that's you too, you know it takes a TON of effort and legwork to get through to them, and when you finally do, it's easy to mess up - or fail to stand out enough to get the meeting.
So, I decided to hone my executive communication skills.
Shoutout to Chili Piper for making it possible. Each Piper has an annual development stipend they can spend on professional growth in areas of their choice. 🌶️
One of my biggest takeaways from Wes's course was:
We should be practicing executive communication always. Otherwise, it's very hard to get enough practice to become excellent.
Excellence comes from practice.
Practicing on executives is a rare opportunity...
The solution? Practicing Executive Communication on non-executives too.
= prepares you for those rare times.
What's the best thing you've ever spent a Professional Development stipend on? 🤓
