Day 2 at the Maxwell Conference and my notebook is filling up fast.
What I appreciate most about these rooms is that leadership isnāt just discussedā¦ itās lived out in real time through the stories, experiences, and wisdom shared.
A few reflections from today:
ā¢ Great leaders stay curious.
ā¢ Growth requires intentionality.
ā¢ The best leaders never stop being students.
The conversations in the hallway are often just as powerful as the sessions themselves. Ideas being sharpened. Experiences being shared. Encouragement being poured into one another.
Leadership is not a destination. Itās a daily decision to keep growing.
Grateful to be here with leaders who believe the same.

What happens when 15 senior leaders press pause on policy, budgets, and regional strategyā¦ and lean into personal growth?
You get honesty.
You get gratitude.
You get laughter in a room that carries serious responsibility.
Today I had the privilege of facilitating the Maxwell Leadership Game with the executive team at the Houston-Galveston Area Council. These are leaders who influence counties, infrastructure, transportation, human services, and long-term regional outcomes. The weight of their decisions is real.
And what stood out most was not their titles.
It was their humility.
They spoke candidly about growth edges.
They affirmed each other publicly.
They reflected on influence beyond authority.
They even took a deep dive into their mission statement ā asking what needs to evolve to truly impact the future.
That is courageous leadership.
Strong regions are built by strong leaders.
Strong leaders are built in moments like this ā where vulnerability meets vision.
Grateful to serve rooms like this.
Leadership is not a position. It is a choice we make every day.

Today was unforgettable.
We had the privilege of bringing Live2Lead into a womenās prison for the very first time.
No stage lights.
No corporate ballroom.
Just purpose, presence, and powerful conversations inside walls that cannot contain potential.
Leadership development doesnāt belong only in boardrooms. It belongs wherever people are willing to grow.
What I witnessed today was courage. Reflection. Ownership. Women leaning in. Listening. Taking notes. Choosing to see themselves as leaders of their future.
Purpose is never imprisoned.
I am deeply grateful to serve in spaces like this, where hope is tangible and growth is intentional.
And yesā¦ after pouring out, we refueled with some Texas BBQ and great conversation. Leadership and brisket make a solid combination.
More photos and moments to come. But tonight, Iām just thankful.
Hope changes everything.

Yesterday, I stood inside a prison carrying Maxwell Leadership | Live2Lead contentā¦
and I was reminded of something holy and humbling.
Inside or outside these walls, there are moments we all feel forgotten.
Moments where disappointment whispers louder than hope.
Moments where life tells us, āThis is as good as it gets.ā
But leadership says otherwise.
Leadership says your past does not get the final word.
Leadership says growth is still possible here.
Leadership says purpose doesnāt expire because of a sentence, a mistake, or a season.
As I looked across that room, I didnāt see inmates.
I saw sons.
I saw leaders.
I saw men who are still becoming.
Maxwell Leadership teaches that everything rises and falls on leadership.
And today, leadership walked behind bars and sat face-to-face with men who are choosing growth anyway.
Hope doesnāt need perfect conditions.
It just needs someone willing to bring it.
If we can carry encouragement into a prison,
then surely we can carry it into our workplaces, our homes, our friendships, and our communities.
We are called to bring hope to each other.
Everywhere.
Every time.
And yesterday reminded me:
Purpose is never imprisoned.

Today was special.
I had the honor of facilitating a fully customized 2-hour interactive leadership workshop for United Apartment Group at their Elevate 2026 Leadership Conference.
What I love most about rooms like this is the willingness to pause and evaluate.
We didnāt just listen.
We engaged.
We stood.
We talked.
We assessed our leadership āwheelsā and asked honest questions:
Where am I steady?
Where am I out of alignment?
Whatās my next step of growth?
Leadership isnāt about perfection. Itās about awareness and intentional adjustment.
UAG is celebrating 30 years while stepping boldly into their next season. The level of engagement, ownership, and collaboration in that room was powerful to witness.

Yesterday, after wrapping up the leadership workshop at United Apartment Groupās Elevate 2026 Conference, I had the chance to stay and connect with several supplier partners Iāve known for more than 25 years.
Twenty-five years.
In an industry that evolves constantly, relationships like that donāt happen by accident. Theyāre built over time ā through collaboration, integrity, shared challenges, and mutual respect.
Standing in that room yesterday as a keynote speakerā¦ and then turning around to see people who were part of my early career journey ā thatās a full circle moment I donāt take lightly.
Leadership is about growth and strategy.
But itās also about people.
The ones you build with.
The ones who grow alongside you.
The ones who still show up decades later.
Grateful for yesterdayās impact on stage ā and even more grateful for the relationships that continue long after the event ends.

Today was one of those soul-filling mornings that reminds me why connection matters.
I had the honor of spending time with C-Suite for Christ, surrounded by leaders who arenāt just focused on titles or outcomes, but on alignment.
Our topic was simple, yet deeply challenging: āMake every effort.ā
Not striving in our own strength.
Not hustling for applause.
But making intentional, faith-filled effort to grow where God is inviting us next.
We talked honestly about the areas where we want to stretch, where leadership feels heavy, and where faith needs to be activated again. We prayed together. We worshiped together. And we were reminded that leadership was never meant to be lonely.
There is something powerful that happens when executives pause long enough to ask,
āLord, where are You shaping me in this season?ā
Grateful for rooms that create space for both excellence and surrender.
For conversations that go beyond business cards and into purpose.
And for the reminder that when we make every effort to seek Him, He faithfully meets us there.

One thing Iām always reminded of in environments like this:
Proximity matters.
Proximity to mentors.
Proximity to people who challenge your thinking.

Thereās something special about walking into a room and seeing faces that have been part of your story for decades.
Tonight was one of those nights.
Some of these leaders I worked with 5ā¦ 10ā¦ even 20 years ago. We built teams together. Solved hard problems. Navigated growth. Learned leadership the real wayā¦ in the trenches.
And here we are again. Still growing. Still leading. Still cheering each other on.
What I love most is this:
When leadership is done well, it doesnāt just build companies.
It builds people.
And when you build people well, the relationships last.

There are meetingsā¦
And then there are moments that feel like altars.
Today I sat across from my almost 88-year-old mentor. A man with decades of executive coaching brilliance behind himā¦ and childlike fire still burning in his eyes. š„
No ego.
No posturing.
Just wisdom wrapped in humility.
We didnāt just ācatch up.ā
We greeted the Holy Spirit in one another.
Two leaders.
Two generations.
One pursuit: growth.
Stan Goss
There is something sacred about sharpening each other when neither of you needs the spotlightā¦ only alignment.
He has coached at the highest levels. Boardrooms. Executives. Strategy tables.
And yet today, what moved me most wasnāt his rĆ©sumĆ©.
It was his hunger.
At almost 88 years old, still learning.
Still asking questions.
Still leaning in.
Still in love with God.
Thatās legacy.
Not titles.
Not income.
Not applause.
Fire that refuses to dim.
Faith that refuses to age.
A mind that refuses to coast.

Day 2 at the Maxwell Conference and my notebook is filling up fast.
What I appreciate most about these rooms is that leadership isnāt just discussedā¦ itās lived out in real time through the stories, experiences, and wisdom shared.
A few reflections from today:
ā¢ Great leaders stay curious.
ā¢ Growth requires intentionality.
ā¢ The best leaders never stop being students.
The conversations in the hallway are often just as powerful as the sessions themselves. Ideas being sharpened. Experiences being shared. Encouragement being poured into one another.
Leadership is not a destination. Itās a daily decision to keep growing.

Today was unforgettable.
We had the privilege of bringing Live2Lead into a womenās prison for the very first time.
No stage lights.
No corporate ballroom.
Just purpose, presence, and powerful conversations inside walls that cannot contain potential.
Leadership development doesnāt belong only in boardrooms. It belongs wherever people are willing to grow.
What I witnessed today was courage. Reflection. Ownership. Women leaning in. Listening. Taking notes. Choosing to see themselves as leaders of their future.
Purpose is never imprisoned.
I am deeply grateful to serve in spaces like this, where hope is tangible and growth is intentional.
And yesā¦ after pouring out, we refueled with some Texas BBQ and great conversation. Leadership and brisket make a solid combination.

Hope changes everything.

Today was special.
I had the honor of facilitating a fully customized 2-hour interactive leadership workshop for United Apartment Group at their Elevate 2026 Leadership Conference.
What I love most about rooms like this is the willingness to pause and evaluate.
We didnāt just listen.
We engaged.
We stood.
We talked.
We assessed our leadership āwheelsā and asked honest questions:
Where am I steady?
Where am I out of alignment?
Whatās my next step of growth?
Leadership isnāt about perfection. Itās about awareness and intentional adjustment.

Yesterday, after wrapping up the leadership workshop at United Apartment Groupās Elevate 2026 Conference, I had the chance to stay and connect with several supplier partners Iāve known for more than 25 years.
Twenty-five years.
In an industry that evolves constantly, relationships like that donāt happen by accident. Theyāre built over time ā through collaboration, integrity, shared challenges, and mutual respect.
Standing in that room yesterday as a keynote speakerā¦ and then turning around to see people who were part of my early career journey ā thatās a full circle moment I donāt take lightly.
Leadership is about growth and strategy.
But itās also about people.
The ones you build with.
The ones who grow alongside you.
The ones who still show up decades later.
Grateful for yesterdayās impact on stage ā and even more grateful for the relationships that continue long after the event ends.

Today was one of those soul-filling mornings that reminds me why connection matters.
I had the honor of spending time with C-Suite for Christ, surrounded by leaders who arenāt just focused on titles or outcomes, but on alignment.
Our topic was simple, yet deeply challenging: āMake every effort.ā
Not striving in our own strength.
Not hustling for applause.
But making intentional, faith-filled effort to grow where God is inviting us next.
We talked honestly about the areas where we want to stretch, where leadership feels heavy, and where faith needs to be activated again. We prayed together. We worshiped together. And we were reminded that leadership was never meant to be lonely.
There is something powerful that happens when executives pause long enough to ask,
āLord, where are You shaping me in this season?ā
Grateful for rooms that create space for both excellence and surrender.
For conversations that go beyond business cards and into purpose.
And for the reminder that when we make every effort to seek Him, He faithfully meets us there.

Today I sat across from my almost 88-year-old mentor. A man with decades of executive coaching brilliance behind himā¦ and childlike fire still burning in his eyes. š„
No ego.
No posturing.
Just wisdom wrapped in humility.
We didnāt just ācatch up.ā
We greeted the Holy Spirit in one another.
Two leaders.
Two generations.
One pursuit: growth.

There is something sacred about sharpening each other when neither of you needs the spotlightā¦ only alignment.
He has coached at the highest levels. Boardrooms. Executives. Strategy tables.
And yet today, what moved me most wasnāt his rĆ©sumĆ©.
It was his hunger.
At almost 88 years old, still learning.
Still asking questions.
Still leaning in.
Still in love with God.
Thatās legacy.
Not titles.
Not income.
Not applause.
Fire that refuses to dim.
Faith that refuses to age.

What happens when 15 senior leaders press pause on policy, budgets, and regional strategyā¦ and lean into personal growth?
You get honesty.
You get gratitude.
You get laughter in a room that carries serious responsibility.
Today I had the privilege of facilitating the Maxwell Leadership Game with the executive team at the Houston-Galveston Area Council. These are leaders who influence counties, infrastructure, transportation, human services, and long-term regional outcomes. The weight of their decisions is real.
And what stood out most was not their titles.
It was their humility.
They spoke candidly about growth edges.
They affirmed each other publicly.
They reflected on influence beyond authority.
They even took a deep dive into their mission statement ā asking what needs to evolve to truly impact the future.
That is courageous leadership.
Strong regions are built by strong leaders.
Strong leaders are built in moments like this ā where vulnerability meets vision.
Grateful to serve rooms like this.
Leadership is not a position. It is a choice we make every day.

Yesterday, I stood inside a prison carrying Maxwell Leadership | Live2Lead contentā¦
and I was reminded of something holy and humbling.
Inside or outside these walls, there are moments we all feel forgotten.
Moments where disappointment whispers louder than hope.
Moments where life tells us, āThis is as good as it gets.ā
But leadership says otherwise.
Leadership says your past does not get the final word.
Leadership says growth is still possible here.
Leadership says purpose doesnāt expire because of a sentence, a mistake, or a season.
As I looked across that room, I didnāt see inmates.
I saw sons.
I saw leaders.
I saw men who are still becoming.
Maxwell Leadership teaches that everything rises and falls on leadership.
And today, leadership walked behind bars and sat face-to-face with men who are choosing growth anyway.
Hope doesnāt need perfect conditions.
It just needs someone willing to bring it.
If we can carry encouragement into a prison,
then surely we can carry it into our workplaces, our homes, our friendships, and our communities.
We are called to bring hope to each other.
Everywhere.
Every time.
And yesterday reminded me:
Purpose is never imprisoned.

This was the first ever Live2Lead inside this womenās unit, and what unfolded was powerful beyond words.
When you stand in front of 335 women dressed in white, sitting shoulder to shoulder, listening intently, taking notes, leaning forwardā¦ you realize something profound:
Leadership is not about title.
Itās about identity.
Itās about choice.
Hope was tangible in that room.
You could feel it in the silence during reflection.
You could see it in the nods.
You could hear it in the conversations afterward.
Purpose is never confined by walls.

Day 2 at the Maxwell Conference and my notebook is filling up fast.
What I appreciate most about these rooms is that leadership isnāt just discussedā¦ itās lived out in real time through the stories, experiences, and wisdom shared.
A few reflections from today:
ā¢ Great leaders stay curious.
ā¢ Growth requires intentionality.
ā¢ The best leaders never stop being students.
The conversations in the hallway are often just as powerful as the sessions themselves. Ideas being sharpened. Experiences being shared. Encouragement being poured into one another.
Leadership is not a destination. Itās a daily decision to keep growing.

Yesterday, I stood inside a prison carrying Maxwell Leadership | Live2Lead contentā¦
and I was reminded of something holy and humbling.
Inside or outside these walls, there are moments we all feel forgotten.
Moments where disappointment whispers louder than hope.
Moments where life tells us, āThis is as good as it gets.ā
But leadership says otherwise.
Leadership says your past does not get the final word.
Leadership says growth is still possible here.
Leadership says purpose doesnāt expire because of a sentence, a mistake, or a season.
As I looked across that room, I didnāt see inmates.
I saw sons.
I saw leaders.
I saw men who are still becoming.
Maxwell Leadership teaches that everything rises and falls on leadership.
And today, leadership walked behind bars and sat face-to-face with men who are choosing growth anyway.
Hope doesnāt need perfect conditions.
It just needs someone willing to bring it.
If we can carry encouragement into a prison,
then surely we can carry it into our workplaces, our homes, our friendships, and our communities.
We are called to bring hope to each other.
Everywhere.
Every time.
And yesterday reminded me:
Purpose is never imprisoned.

Today was special.
I had the honor of facilitating a fully customized 2-hour interactive leadership workshop for United Apartment Group at their Elevate 2026 Leadership Conference.
What I love most about rooms like this is the willingness to pause and evaluate.
We didnāt just listen.
We engaged.
We stood.
We talked.
We assessed our leadership āwheelsā and asked honest questions:
Where am I steady?
Where am I out of alignment?
Whatās my next step of growth?
Leadership isnāt about perfection. Itās about awareness and intentional adjustment.
UAG is celebrating 30 years while stepping boldly into their next season. The level of engagement, ownership, and collaboration in that room was powerful to witness.
When leaders are willing to evaluate themselves first, culture strengthens. Teams align. Momentum builds.

There are meetingsā¦
And then there are moments that feel like altars.
Today I sat across from my almost 88-year-old mentor. A man with decades of executive coaching brilliance behind himā¦ and childlike fire still burning in his eyes. š„
No ego.
No posturing.
Just wisdom wrapped in humility.
We didnāt just ācatch up.ā
We greeted the Holy Spirit in one another.
Two leaders.
Two generations.
One pursuit: growth.
Stan Goss
There is something sacred about sharpening each other when neither of you needs the spotlightā¦ only alignment.
He has coached at the highest levels. Boardrooms. Executives. Strategy tables.
And yet today, what moved me most wasnāt his rĆ©sumĆ©.
It was his hunger.
At almost 88 years old, still learning.
Still asking questions.
Still leaning in.
Still in love with God.
Thatās legacy.
Not titles.
Not income.
Not applause.

Today I had the privilege of facilitating the Maxwell Leadership Game with the executive team at the Houston-Galveston Area Council. These are leaders who influence counties, infrastructure, transportation, human services, and long-term regional outcomes. The weight of their decisions is real.
And what stood out most was not their titles.
It was their humility.
They spoke candidly about growth edges.
They affirmed each other publicly.
They reflected on influence beyond authority.
They even took a deep dive into their mission statement ā asking what needs to evolve to truly impact the future.
That is courageous leadership.
Strong regions are built by strong leaders.
Strong leaders are built in moments like this ā where vulnerability meets vision.
Grateful to serve rooms like this.
Leadership is not a position. It is a choice we make every day.

Today was one of those soul-filling mornings that reminds me why connection matters.
I had the honor of spending time with C-Suite for Christ, surrounded by leaders who arenāt just focused on titles or outcomes, but on alignment.
Our topic was simple, yet deeply challenging: āMake every effort.ā
Not striving in our own strength.
Not hustling for applause.
But making intentional, faith-filled effort to grow where God is inviting us next.
We talked honestly about the areas where we want to stretch, where leadership feels heavy, and where faith needs to be activated again. We prayed together. We worshiped together. And we were reminded that leadership was never meant to be lonely.
There is something powerful that happens when executives pause long enough to ask,
āLord, where are You shaping me in this season?ā
Grateful for rooms that create space for both excellence and surrender.
For conversations that go beyond business cards and into purpose.
And for the reminder that when we make every effort to seek Him, He faithfully meets us there.

There was a time when holiness was only associated with temples, altars, and sacred spaces.
But Scripture paints a different picture in Zechariah 14:20ā21.

Today was unforgettable.
We had the privilege of bringing Live2Lead into a womenās prison for the very first time.
No stage lights.
No corporate ballroom.
Just purpose, presence, and powerful conversations inside walls that cannot contain potential.
Leadership development doesnāt belong only in boardrooms. It belongs wherever people are willing to grow.
What I witnessed today was courage. Reflection. Ownership. Women leaning in. Listening. Taking notes. Choosing to see themselves as leaders of their future.
Purpose is never imprisoned.
I am deeply grateful to serve in spaces like this, where hope is tangible and growth is intentional.
And yesā¦ after pouring out, we refueled with some Texas BBQ and great conversation. Leadership and brisket make a solid combination.

Yesterday, after wrapping up the leadership workshop at United Apartment Groupās Elevate 2026 Conference, I had the chance to stay and connect with several supplier partners Iāve known for more than 25 years.
Twenty-five years.
In an industry that evolves constantly, relationships like that donāt happen by accident. Theyāre built over time ā through collaboration, integrity, shared challenges, and mutual respect.
Standing in that room yesterday as a keynote speakerā¦ and then turning around to see people who were part of my early career journey ā thatās a full circle moment I donāt take lightly.
Leadership is about growth and strategy.
But itās also about people.
The ones you build with.
The ones who grow alongside you.
The ones who still show up decades later.
Grateful for yesterdayās impact on stage ā and even more grateful for the relationships that continue long after the event ends.

Limitless potential.
This was the first ever Live2Lead inside this womenās unit, and what unfolded was powerful beyond words.
When you stand in front of 335 women dressed in white, sitting shoulder to shoulder, listening intently, taking notes, leaning forwardā¦ you realize something profound:
Leadership is not about title.
Itās about identity.
Itās about choice.
Hope was tangible in that room.
You could feel it in the silence during reflection.
You could see it in the nods.
You could hear it in the conversations afterward.
Purpose is never confined by walls.
Growth is never disqualified by past chapters.
I am deeply grateful to every volunteer, every leader, and every woman who showed up willing to grow.
Hope changes everything.
