Ever notice how the deals that drag on the longest are usually the ones where the hard questions never got asked? It’s easy to stay in the “comfortable zone”—surface-level conversations, polite check-ins, vague timelines. But that’s also where deals go to stall. The real shift happens when you’re willing to lean in a little more. When you start asking about what they’ve already tried, what happens if nothing changes, and what this actually means for them and their customers… that’s when things get real. You stop chasing interest and start uncovering intent. You stop guessing and start understanding. And most importantly, you start spending your time on the deals that actually have a chance of closing.
