One of the Venture Capitalists I really admire is Steve Jurvetson, Founder and General Partner of Future Ventures, a VC firm based in the SF Bay area. Steve is an investor in TESLA (NASDAQ: TSLA) and SPACEX among other things.
Steve is a prolific writer. Though he is not a novelist, his writings are like a novel, painting the future. Imagine a Isaac Asimov + HG Wells, except much better. See below.
Here is Steve's contribution to the famous Digitalist Papers from the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) Lab where two of my current/former MIT professors are now working on such papers - Alex 'Sandy' Pentland and Erik Brynjolfsson. #AI #Thoughtleaders #DigitalistPapers #Stanford
-------------------------------Quoting Steve below------------------
The Digitalist debut, Vol 2.
I’ll be speaking about my chapter with Erik Brynjolfsson of Stanford and MIT’s CS & AI Lab Director Daniela Rus today.
Amazon: “Inspired by The Federalist Papers, The Digitalist Papers explores the economics of transformative AI—advanced systems that could drive changes as significant as the Industrial Revolution, but far more quickly. While technical progress is accelerating, and investments in the technology are surging, far less attention has been devoted to understanding the implications of what is being built for how we live and work together in society.”
