I think I can explain this? Do you agree? Right now, company execs are WAY MORE bullish on AI for customer service and customer experience than the actual customers they seek to serve. But, I’m pretty sure that’ll change once customers actually interact with the new breed of smart, compassionate, and fast AI agents that are launching. AI inserted into your customer experience program frees your human team up to do the kind of high touch, empathetic hand holding that sometimes you don’t have time for today. I’m all for that! WOW! I have done a lot of events, but NEVER has the audience engaged in a vigorously competitive game of "shake it off" with Post-Its before I took the stage. Tough act to follow! Really loved my time with the entire management team of Veridian Credit Union, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. They have an incredible culture and their teamwork was amazing. We spent a half-day together working on specific ways to enhance the experience they offer their members (which is already excellent). We talked a lot as well about how the outward experience is driven a LOT by the internal experience, and smoothing out inter-departmental handoffs is crucial. I am so lucky to get to work with amazing companies like this. Big thanks to Veridian, Brittanny Kreutzer from The Speaker Exchange Agency, LLC and Michelle Joyce Speakers and Maddie Jager for making it happen. Also noteworthy: really good beer in Iowa. Tequila...less so. Now...on to Rhode Island!

I've not spent a lot of time in New England in my career, so it was an absolute blast to make it to Newport, Rhode Island to work with NEW ENGLAND INNS AND RESORTS ASSOCIATION at their annual conference. We talked about the power of word of mouth, and how giving your guests a unique story to tell propels the next round of guests. AND, influences what AI says about your inn or resort! Had a lovely stay at the gorgeous Newport Harbor Island Resort and even got a chance to look around the coast for a few minutes. Big thanks to the entire NEIRA team for this opportunity.
