learnings from munich security conference: - if your systems aren’t being tested in ukr you’re cos playing being a defense company - germany is mega serious spender on new defense and primes must now collaborate with new companies to reduce the oligopoly - they focus on supporting their domestic cos - the infighting between deftech cos is out of control and must stop - the zero-sum vibes is not productive - after a load of systems are purchased, when/where will the next orders come from exactly if the buyer isn’t at war? - if you don’t have an office in munich, what are you doing.

In general, people have been asking the wrong question(s) about AI in games. Another 10-year overnight success for end-to-end learning: Alex Kendall and team Wayve are relentless, pulling the future into the present! He’s one of those leaders who just gets more bullish and excited for the future with every new step forward. It’s inspiring.

European voters say they support higher defense spending. But when asked whether they would accept higher taxes or cuts to welfare to fund it, approval falls from 40% to 28% in France and from 37% to 24% in Germany. That gap is Europe’s real defense problem. The political ceiling on defense spending has collapsed. Germany is committing hundreds of millions to startups, procurement laws are being rewritten, and factories are expanding. Yet rearmament is entering its harder phase. I attended the Munich Security Conference this year with that tension in mind: welfare vs. warfare....
